CASA
Meets Each Wednesday at 6:30pm

Christians Against Substance Abuse is a Bible orienteted Twelve-Step group meeting. No one in chartering the course of their future makes plans to become addicted or dependent upon anything or anyone. What are the gods in your life? What is most important to you? Is it your sexuality, money, work, power, relationships, activities, alcohol, or any other drug? Do any of these areas dominate your thinking, your emotions, or your actions? Most of us can see ourselves somewhere on that list. If so, they may represent addictions or dependencies and you can benefit from the truths that emerge from the Twelve Steps. These dependencies must be addressed because they hold the potential to shift your life dangerously out of balance. There is help in the form of a number of groups which use Twelve-Step programs. Twelve-Step programs have been effective in overcoming addictions and dependencies. CASA provides help to overcome these addictions and dependencies and provides deliverance from unhealthy patterns of behavior.

CASA On The Move

Our CASA group continues to make headway at the prison. Each Wednesday night at the Carol S. Young Medical Facility, we have reached hundreds of women thus far with this program. Many of these women have moved on to other prisons or have been released. Several have been baptized into Christ, either here at Mainland or in a locale into which they have been released. Presently we are using CASA material developed by NLB. With this continued outreach to help folks overcome their addictions, not only will we help folks see the nature of their wrongs, but we will also increase the membership of the Lord's Church. We ask that you continue to pray for the success and growth of CASA.

Early Morning Worship and Bible Study
Meets Each Sunday at 8:30am

Each Sunday morning we are blessed to be able to conduct Early Morning worship and Bible Studies at the Carol S. Young Medical Facility. A member of our team preaches a sermon from God's word, leads some songs, and offers the Lord's Supper. Afterwords other team members teach a more informal lesson from God's Holy Word. The group of ladies attending fluctuates considerably due to the overturn of inmates. This continues to be a vital part of our ministry.
