AFW SNAPPER LEADERS
Our wire Snapper leaders are constructed by hand to the highest standards. We use 6 feet of 90 pound test Surflon. You have the choice of a 6/0 Mustad big gun live bait hook or a 6/0 Frenzy Big Game ultimate circle hook and 6 or 8 ounce weights. These hooks are super sharp and extremely tough for quality hook sets and fighting power. The egg sinker is crimped in place with a bead on each side to prevent twisting of your leader around your main line. A 225 pound Rosco swivel and double barrel crimps completes the connection. This is one of our favorite leaders that we keep in our tackle boxes and use on every trip for multiple species, like Snapper, Redfish, Black Drum, jacks, and sharks.
GRAND-SLAM SNAPPER LEADERS
We use 6 feet of 80 pound test Hi-Seas Grand-Slam premium high strength monofilament leader material. You have a choice of a 6/0 Mustad Big Gun live bait hook or a 6/0 Frenzy Big Game ultimate circle hook. The egg sinker (6 or 8 oz.) is crimped in place with a bead on each side to prevent twisting around your main line. An offshore loop is threaded through a 225 pound Rosco swivel and secured with an aluminum crimp. These are our favorite leaders that we keep in our tackle boxes and use on every trip for multiple species, like snapper, redfish, black drum, jacks, and sharks.
BEELINER
We use 6 feet of 80 pound test Hi-Seas Grand-Slam premium high strength monofilament leader material, a 20 ounce bank sinker, and three 6/0 circle hooks.
